Before You Start

Using an EVE Online referral link is quick and straightforward. The entire process takes about 2 minutes. There are two paths depending on whether you're a new player or an existing one:

New Players — You'll create a brand new EVE Online account through the referral link. The skill points are applied automatically when you finish registration.
Existing Players — You'll click the same referral link but log in with your existing account instead of creating a new one. The SP bonus is applied to your account instantly.

In both cases, always verify the URL in your browser shows eveonline.com before entering any credentials. Never enter your password on a site that isn't the official EVE Online website.

Step-by-Step: New Players

Step 1: Click the Referral Link

Click the button below to open the official EVE Online signup page with the referral code embedded in the URL.

Open Referral Signup Page
Step 2: Create Your Account

Fill in your email address and choose a password to create your EVE Online account. You can also sign up using your Steam, Google, Apple, or Facebook account if you prefer.

Step 3: Download and Launch EVE Online

After registration, download the EVE Online client from the official website. The game is available for Windows and Mac. You can also play through Steam.

Step 4: Claim Your Skill Points In-Game

Once you log into the game, open the Redeem Items window (accessible from the Neocom sidebar). You'll see a redeemable item containing 1,000,000 unallocated skill points. Claim it on the character you want to receive the SP.

Step 5: Apply Your Skill Points

Open your Character Sheet, go to the Skills tab, and you'll see your unallocated SP total. You can now apply these skill points to any skill you've injected a skillbook for. Simply click "Apply Skill Points" next to any skill you want to train instantly.

Step-by-Step: Existing Players

If you already have an EVE Online account and have never used a referral link, you can retroactively claim the 1 million SP bonus.

Step 1: Click the Referral Link

Click the same referral link above. You'll be taken to the EVE Online signup page.

Step 2: Click "Log In to Become a Recruit"

Instead of creating a new account, look below the signup form for the text that says "Log in to become a recruit". Click that link and sign in with your existing EVE Online credentials.

Step 3: Claim Your Skill Points

The referral is applied to your account instantly. Log into the game, open the Redeem Items window, and claim the 1,000,000 skill points on your preferred character. It typically appears within 30 seconds.

Using a Referral on Multiple Accounts

Each EVE Online account can use one referral link. If you have alt accounts, you can claim the bonus on each one:

Claim the referral on your first account using the steps above.
Log out of that account completely.
Click the referral link again.
Log in with your next account and claim the SP.
Repeat for each additional account.

Safety Tips

The EVE Online referral system is completely safe when used correctly. Keep these tips in mind:

Always check the URL — Before entering your credentials, make sure your browser shows eveonline.com in the address bar. Never enter your password on any other domain.
Referral links don't ask for personal data — A legitimate referral link only takes you to the official signup page. If a site asks you for your existing password or personal information, it's a phishing attempt.
Use two-factor authentication — Protect your EVE account by enabling 2FA in your account settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Make sure you check the Redeem Items window in-game (not your character's skill points directly). The reward arrives as a redeemable item. If it's not there after a few minutes, you may have already used a referral link on this account previously.

If you try to use a referral link on an account that has already been recruited, the process simply won't grant the SP reward. There's no error message — you just won't receive the redeemable item. Each account can only be recruited once.

Yes. Steam accounts can use the retroactive recruitment feature. Click the referral link, then log in with your EVE Online credentials (not Steam login). If your account was created through Steam, you may need to set up an EVE account password first through the account management page.
